Abstract
The theoretical error of the Bhabha cross section at the LEP lacked a comprehensive analysis of the effects due to the production of light pairs. For this purpose, Monte Carlo program was implemented with a selection of realistic events and the complete calculation of matrix elements and the initial state radiation, through the structure functions.
The simulation has a theoretical error with the current experimental precision and it was adopted by the LEP experimental groups.
The effects due to pairs production are also present in the physics of electroweak bosons studied at LEP2 and NLC. So a second Monte Carlo simulation has been implemented, complete with an event generator, for the processes with a single Z or with a single W. The code is used by the LEP experimental groups. In addition, the analysis, setting the correct physical scale of the collision process, is able to filter out the approaches of other research groups with only simple phenomenological considerations.
